더블랙레이블의 첫 걸그룹 미야오가 18일 오후 6시 두 번째 싱글 '톡식(TOXIC)'을 발표했다. 더블 타이틀로 구성된 이번 싱글은 미야오의 폭넓은 음악적 스펙트럼을 본격적으로 선보인다. 감각적인 사운드와 보컬의 조화가 어우러진 호소력 짙은 트랙 'TOXIC', 에너제틱한 비트와 퍼포먼스가 돋보이는 'BODY'를 통해 자신감 넘치는 포부를 또 한 번 드러낸다.

'톡식'은 POP R&B 장르로 미니멀한 리듬과 미야오 멤버들의 고유한 음색이 돋보이는 곡이다. 위험한 감정의 소용돌이 속에서도 쉽게 헤어 나올 수 없는 마음을 진솔하고 섬세한 가사로 풀어내며 곡의 몰입감을 높인다.

미야오는 지난 9월 발표한 데뷔곡 '미야오(MEOW)'를 통해 미니멀하면서도 힙한 컨셉트로 강렬한 임팩트를 선사, '완성형 신인'이라는 수식어에 부합하는 고품격 퍼포먼스를 선보였다. 첫 활동부터 존재감을 각인시킨 미야오가 이번 컴백 활동을 통해 고양이의 날카롭고 부드러운 매력을 보여주며 팀의 정체성을 확립할 예정이라고 해 더욱 기대를 모은다.
